AS3 settle in time?

how long does AS3 take to settle in and reduce my temps? i stuck my finger in my Smart fan 2 and broke a blade off, now im using an old 35CFM, (at least i think it is, apparently this molex thing they shipped with it is a 7v one, i want 12v all da way!!)
IDLE = 51 and load is 53 or something, really high since i was getting low 40's with my other fan before i got this mobo!

So you are still using the same CPU cooler but a different fan?

Your temps are pretty high. Either the heatsink is mounted wrong, or the mobo is mounted wrong. But, the AS3 takes about 3-4 days of constant use, and will probably drop it 1-5 degrees.

I think it takes around 72 hours for the as3 to settle, like Skiing Squirrel said, but I would make sure that you have your hsf mounted correctly, because those temps are getting pretty high.
