Asus 7700 and DirectX8

I installed a game and it said that my 7700 doesn't support DX8. So I tried the latest drivers from Asus but it still won't get the OK. Any suggestions?

driver for the V7700 from Asus aren't that great... stick with the denators from Nvidia... try the one of the 40.xx denators.. it should work fine

Thanks. I'm downloading them now. Is this sufficient to handle DX8 or do I need a new bios for the card?

I believe that all denators are directX8 supported...and you shouldn't need to update your card's bios cuz all Geforce 2 GTS are DirectX 8 standard.
