ASUS A7M266 MOBO

JUST GOT THIS PUPPY TODAY
NEED HELP WITH THE MULTIPLIER
GOT A AXIA1.2GIG UNLOCKED T-BIRD 266FSB
PC2100 RAM

CANNOT GET THE FSB HIGHER THAN 150MHZ
MULTIPLIER IS AT 9 AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO CHANGE IT TO 11.0
ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I don't know anything about that board, but I would suggest first reading your manual thoroughly, as often those things are explained, at least slightly, in there.

Bad news, You cant change the multiplier. Asus (in their infinite wisdom) removed the multiplier dip switches from the board and locked multiplier settings in the BIOS.
I bought one last week and found out the hard way

If you feel comfortable soldering then go to overclockers.com.au/techstuff/a_a7m266_mod/. This board was originally supposed to have a dip switch to change the multiplier it even has it in the picture in the manual on page 13.

I do know that the A7M266 does not support multiplier manipulation without a DIP switch soldering mod. If you do a Forum Search for "A7M266 mod" you should turn up the info you need. Thanks.
