Hey guys I got a weird error when trying to load windows on my system..Just as I load the hardware config....right after I set time and date it will crash....Fatal error.....the common theme seems to be a VXD or Kernel failure The hard ware config looks like this
ASUS A7V
750 T-Bird
128 MB PC-133 infineon
Maxtor Ultra 100 20GB hard disk
I have tried a g-force2 mx and an old tnt2 card
I striped the rest out to isolate the error
but this one has me stumped...has anyone else seen this before...thanks for the help

Try programming windows on the Ultra 66 IDE channel, then switching to the Ultra 100 channel after you have loaded the drivers for it.
Also, try programming with nothing but the video card, then add one component at a time.
Good Luck.

the idea about the ata600 controller is a good one. install windows off that, and all the relevant drivers, and then use the ata100 controller.

also, how are you cooling the proc? it's a looooong shot, but maybe it's heat...? i.e. takes that long for the chip to get too hot...?
