ASUS CUSL-2 C and 512 MB RAM ?

I recently picked up a CUSL-2 C and I am having a terrible time getting 2 sticks of 256 Micron PC133 Ram to fly on this thing. All is fine until I go into the OS(bios 1003) ,..then a memory dump from the kernel(win2k)..Does this board have a problem maxing out to 512MB? I know the 815e chipset only allows for 2 133 DIMMS, but this is ridiculous..My P3V4X never had these problems..
