I have this motherboard and cpu with an adaptec 2940 , seagate 4gb and yamaha 4416 burner attached to it internally. These came out of a fully working P2 350 machine.
The problem is the system pauses for about a minute just after the windows 98 splash screen comes up with periodic hard disc activity until it finally kicks in and boots up.
The scsi HD is not bootable, I am booting off a quantum ide drive.
ive tried both enabling and disabling the scsi bios with no difference in bootup speed.
Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this?
