So what voltages did you end up setting the CPu-NB to? I have it at 1.3-1.35 and theres still problems with running prime longer than 2 hours.

Nevermind.

It helped by raising it (for sure), but it is still not the solution.

The board doesn't like high FSB, regardless of all other multipliers being lowered. Even 236mhz fsb doesn't work well. Just today, for the first time, I was able to have my system run overclocked past its stock settings and pass OCCT CPU test 1 hour (auto). That was at 3.45ghz (230mhz fsb).

I got the msi 790fx-gd70 and WOW I am impressed, prime stable without super trying so far at 3.6 with 1.46 volts. And it was my very first test run so its time for me to try to play around with it. Time to sell off my old board.

Well, the board from hell finally got somewhere.

BIOS 1402 helped me when I was fine-tweaking.
Anyway, OCCT CPU test stable small, medium, and large - 1 hour of each is what I did.
OCCT Linpack broke 5 hours and then manually stopped.
3dmark06 loop for a couple of hours, no problemo.

Here are my settings:
945 deneb, asus m4a78t-e
asus arctic square cooler
250mhz fsb x 14 = 3.5ghz
vcore 1.425
1.35v cpu-nb
nb and htt = 2000mhz
ram = 1333mhz 7-7-7-20-30-2T @ 1.82vdimm
all other voltages stock

:)
