Now I'm not sure if its the MOBO so I'm kind of guessing here but basically everything runs fine and is stable but what happens is when the computer shuts down or goes into sleep mode and on a RARE occasion when rebooting the MOBO wont post it will turn on the fans will spin up for about 10 seconds or so than shut down than as soon as the fans stop spinning it will turn back on and repeat over and over until I actually turn the system off it will keep happening until I turn the power switch off on the PSU then usually it will boot fine after that.

Thanks in advance specs below (newest bios revision.)

I have done that part but if I shut down and or restart I have the same issue.

EDIT: taking off the OC doesn't seem to help.

I just returned a Asus Extreme IV board and while that wasn't the main issue, I did notice the same thing. Mine would freeze, I'd turn it back on and the MB/fans would power for about 2-5 seconds, it would shut down completely, then power back up a few seconds later and try to boot. Mine wouldn't get into the bios unless I cleared the CMOS and was showing VGA LED solid and RAM errors during a memory test. I think it was all MB related.

Disable CPU PLL Overvoltage, if it is on Auto or Enabled you can run into this issue.

Thanks Janus that would be awesome I know its auto enabled but since ill be at work all day i wont be able to tryit till later

Thanks again!

EDIT: Yea that worked but then my OC wouldn't work SOOOOO I had to turn it back on to make it stable
