I have a friend who somehow knocked out a cap on his motherboard. I am trying to figure out what to purchase in order to replace the broken cap.

I am knowledgeable about reading the cap and would love some help on understanding what I need.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Which part of the board was it knocked off from? Also, that looks like a surface mounted capacitor as opposed to a through hole mounted cap. Can you post a picture of the underside? If it is a surface mount cap, you can solder it onto the board yourself.
