I know this question has probably been beaten to death, But I'm gonna ask anyway. :D Actually 2 questions...First...Which processor would be better from an overclocking viewpoint? The 1.4 266 t-bird or the 1.33 266 t-bird? Second...What mobo would be best for one of the above processors? I am somewhat partial to Asus mobo's since that is what I am running now. An oldie but goodie...Asus P3B-F with a slot 1 cCO P3 750@900. Cheap RAM is what holds me from reaching a ghz. 320MB noname PC100. >:| Anyways, Is 1.6+ mgz to much to hope for from either of the chips I mentioned? Proper cooling and quality RAM of course. For RAM I was considering a couple 256MB sticks of Corsair PC2400 DDR. Need to upgrade and want to do it right the first time. :D

Always check AMD's website for recommended motherboards. Those are the safest way to go, and usually the best possible board is in there somewhere. Currently, AMD does not recommend any ASUS mobo for the 1.4, but does recommend the A7M266 for the 1333. After research, I went with the Giga-Byte GA-7DXR for my 1.4, as it is a member of a recommended model, the 7DX. It also offers the best options and overclockability that I could see. As to O/Cing the two processors, I've been told both are hitting the same barrier around 1.6 Ghz, with a few pushing through to 1.8+ If you know overclocking, save the money.

Thanks for the info dude. I'm not an OC'n whiz like alot of ya'all, But I have been running my current sys the way it is for a couple years now. So I must be doin somethin right. :D Havent fried anything yet. Hmm...Gigabyte eh? Have to look into it. Guess I should check out AMD's website too. hehe...Also, whats the story on a good, quality HSF? Money not really an issue...No more than $100 or so...Anyways...Thanks again.
