Hi all,

I have a ASUS P2-99 motherboard running slot 1 Pentium II 300MHz currently. Someone gave me a slot 1 PIII 733MHz CPU. Can I use this PIII on my ASUS P2-99 board?

I checked the ASUS board manual. It didn't say anything about running a PIII. But the box cover of the ASUS board says it's Pentium III ready. I am concern about it because the 2 chips seem to run on different voltage (Vcc), correct me if I am wrong. I don't want to burn a chip nor have an unstable system after I migrate to PIII.

Any suggestions would help. Thanks very much.
