I need some help to identify th4e board revision for my ASUS P2B-B M/B. When I turn it on the first info that flashes on the screen high right is a revision number "1.00.04-ET". Then that disappears and following info appears as it goes through the process of checking the memory and other devices. I will list them from top to bottom.

Bio v4.51PG
Asus P2B-B ACPI Bios Revision 1008.B
Bios Extension v1.0A

And finally at the bottom (where I was told the info I needed would be found) it says "3/22/99 - i440BX - P2B-B - 00"

Now I was told that the number right after the p2b-b would be the board rev. But the "00" is confusing me. My hope is that this board is rev. 1.02 so that I can put a PIII 800E CPU on it. That is the overall question I have. What is the fastest chip I can put on this M/B? Is there any other place to look for the revision number?

Thanks.

You can install Sandra. There is some variation with boards but that program does give a lot of information under the Mainboard Information module.

wrong revision number you are looking for a rev. # of
1.10 or 1.12 , but don`t fret go to asus website and
download the updated bios drivers then you can run the p3 with a asus slot adapter card # s370-133
or the s370-dl then overclock at will?

About the rev. number I think you can find it btwn the pci and isa slot or somewhere there abouts.
