Hello everybody!

I have problem with my graphic during playing games. Lot of hacks when I play Colin Mcrae Rally 2, such as the forest around me comes up tree by tree. I can solve this in Colin by increase the “drivers distance" from default 2 to a higher value, but this option are not available in other games. My friend is gaming with an Gf2 MX and P2 (same settings resolution etc. as me) and have not such problems. Have tried all possible 4in1 and Nvidia drivers, without any increase of performance.

Since I upgrade my video card from TNT2 M64 to the Inno3D Gf2 Pro i thought everything should be better, but all is still the same. In other considerations the system runs well and with stability.

Do you think I have some hardware defects, as AGP-port?
I run the mobo with jumperfree mode, do you think it´s helping to try manual settings of the jumpers?
Do you have any other suggestions?
Thank you very much for helping me.
(Excuse me for bad english)

Have you messed around with agp driving strength?
I belive "ca" is supposed to work best with windows.

odd,

What 4 in 1 version do you have? Just in case, the latest is v4.31 Final. I had to do the AGP driver manually. Find the latest versions here:

Also, what o/s are you using? There is a specific bug fix for Win2k listed as MS AGP FIX.

BTW, there are also some VIA tweaks listed on this site. I have personally tried out the 4-Way Interleave. I did before and after using SiSoft Sandra 2001 memory benchmark. I'm at work and do not have the numbers, but it was a decent boost in performance.

Anyway, I hope this helps.

Thank you for replay. I have used all 4in1 from 4.17 to 4.31, without help for this problem. Increase the VIO to 3.6V did not helps. I also took out one of the SDRAM and run with 64MB for detect if they were corrupt.
Even tried Slop´s beta4W which set my AGP value to FF. Nothing helps.
Please, do you have any other suggestions?

Hello!
I currently run Win98SE and have play around with the BIOS without result during reading the BIOS guide you ment. Have already used all newer drivers, both from Nvidia and VIA. Also installed 4in1 separately.

My BIOS is 1005, and I know with Leadtek you have to go backwards to 1003 for get ride of the issues. Do you think this is a good idea?

In the benchmark program wintune, I can read;
3Dnow Present: false
Something wrong?

Thank you very much for trying help me. I´m a swedish guy and had some problems with the english, as you see.

Thank you very much everybody.
I have tried the most of the tip you gave me, but the problem persist.
During install 4in1 no drivers install properly in the Device Manager. When I install AGP-driver and IRQ-driver manually, they become properly installed.
"PCI to ISA Bridge", "Power Management Controller" and "CPU to PCI Bridge" are newer able to be installed (impossible to update driver from device manager to), but they would be installed if I use 4in1 drivers older than my Win98SE. In the Device Manager I can also see my hard drive identified as a Generic IDE DISK TYPE47, and it´s impossible to update this manually to, link about it http://forums.matroxusers.com/ubb/Forum3/HTML/001780.html.
It´s seems as my Win98SE couldn´t identify my hardvare, except for these outside the tower as writer, gamecontrollers etc..
I´m very sad now. Do you think the mobo is corrupt?

Take care of you, helpful guys.

Hello again!

I have disabled the PCI cards and everything else. Here are my results from Wintune (3Dmark2000 break down after a short time running)

The program says dx 6.0?
Have you updated your win 98 with microsoft?
You should run dx 7.0 at least.
