I've searched, but didn't find anything about my particular combination. Asus P3V4X mobo with a Netgear FA312 NIC (PCI). Have a discrete cable to go between a 3 pin header on the NIC and the mobo. WOL option enabled in BIOS 1005. Running Ubuntu Server 12.04.2 LTS and can't get the system to wake up when transmitting WOL packets from another system.
I've got a server running an Asrock H77M and an Ivy Bridge Celeron, that system suspends and can be woken up reliably. Same system is able to send the WOL packet to the P3V4X, but system never wakes up. Lacking ACPI drivers possibly? This feature is critical in this case because it is supposed to be used as a server backup machine.
