Does anyone else here suffer from 'Phantom' fan failures ???
I'm constantly getting the prog pop up and tell me that one of the 3 fans is not working, yet i can see (and hear) that they are...(very annoying, specially during a critical moment in counter-strike)
Is there a solution to this prob ?? (besides the obvious ' get rid of it')
Im usin an a7v-133

Yes and No. Asus probe isnt exactly the best monitoring program. I had this happen to me constantly, all you can do, is disable the monitoring for the fan that keeps popping up.

Mine is working pefrect.

about 8 month now sicne i got my a7v mobo with duron 700 and my asus probe works fine it shows all temp exactly how they are all fans monitoring is working too... i use win98 maybe it has problems with Nt's or win2k .....

Had the same problem with mine aswell. Disable that turkey! Use sandra benchmark if you want to periodically check the temps and fan speeds.http://download.cnet.com/downloads/0-10102-100-5462327.html?tag=st.dl.10001-103-1.lst-7-1.5462327 Works much better. Or you could always check them in bios.

amdmb had an article on how to fix the probe with a resistor i think!

Its not the hardware it's the inadequate software. The fans are still turning just the Asus Probe software says it isn't so it gives you a pop-up screen rather than re-polling the hardware first.

This makes you ignore any pop-up from Asus Probe (the program which cried WOLF)
