First thing you need to do is find out if you mobo supports multiplier manipulation. If it doesn't you will not see much the CPUs true potential.

Now assuming it does support multiplier manipulation, you will need to connect the L1 bridges via the "pencile trick".

Your Heatsink may be enough for moderate overclocking. The only way to know for sure is to test it and report back to us with some CPU temps for use to compare to those of "good" cooling. You will see the most postential out of your CPU with an Alpha or GlobelWin heatsink and fan, or liquid cooling. No heatsink is effective without a well ventalated case, so throw in a fan or two or twelve.

If you have further questions, don't be shy and make yourself herd :)

thnx man :O) u r a star
i know there multipliers on the board,
however measuring the temp?? whats a good temp and um this may sound silly but what do i measure it with ? a normal thermometer??
the mobo says i can multiply from in the bios ?? is this anygood ?

The ability to adjust multipliers from within the BIOS is very convenient. The board should have onboard health monitoring. You can view Idle temps from within the bios. To view full load temps you will need health monitoring software, I recommend Motherboard Monitor. Search the web for it. Do you know how to do the "pencil trick"? ???

I know I'm a star..... why do you think Dan appointed me a Senior Member ;D
