I just bought an Athlon 1.4 cpu. In the data base the only listing for a 1.4 is a T-Bird. Are these the one in the same? Also, what is the core name? What i know for sure is that it is (factory) unlocked. Just curious. I also heard somewhere that the ones where the serial # start with a letter seem to overclock better...any truth to that?

Thanks in advance for any input to my inquiries.

first of all WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!!! :D:D:D

u have an athlon tbird 1.4 the athlon listing on the database is for athlon clasic cpu's they are the old slot style athlons. once amd moved the l2 cache onto the cpu die and added a few other enhancments they made the cpu's socket style and called that core thunderbird (tbird).
