DAMN! If this is true I'd have to get one for myself, I'll call myself crazy if I don't do everything I can to get one of these for a mere price of $29... even if the stepping wouldn't be that good, it would still be faster than my Tbird 1200 @ 1410...

not gonna happen. better chances of finding a 1700+ for near that price since stores are still buying them. Where as the 1600+ were bought BEFORE the price drop. SO if an Etailer paid $35 for the chip nothing is causing them to drop it down to below the parice they paid.
