ATI 8500 LE 128 mb

I am thinking about buying a ATI 8500 LE 128 mb video card. I am about sick for buying my GeForce for mx 440 for 139.00 ( bought it when they were first released) I know never buy them when first released. Does anyone know how it compares th the GF 3 Ti 500 and to the GF4 Ti 4200 64mb cards. Don't really feel like getting ripped off again everything I read says it is a little better that the GF3 and a little worse that the GF4. Would just like to get some opinions from people that have them. APPRECIATE ALL YOU'RE IMPUT

I just got the 128 meg 8500LE (built by ATI) for my brother's machine. I must say at $107 its a great deal. First off it overclocks all the way to 300/300 (from 250/250) stable, while my retail 8500 64mb only does 290/300 or so...
That extra 64 mb in the LE shows its muscle in new games like UT 2003, roughly 10-15 fps faster on average than my rig even tho i have a faster CPU and twice as much system RAM than my Bro.

As far as comparison to the GF3 TI500 - the 8500LE 128mb is faster, while the TI 4200 is slightly faster, but more expensive. Of course the 128 mb 8500 might have the mem bandwidth to beat the TI 4200 in UT 2003 and the upcoming DOOM III.

the 8500 IMO is better then the gf3ti500. not only is the 8500 up to 20 dollors cheaper, it's faster as well. also as said by skid the newer games are really utilizing 128mb of memory. as far as the ti4200 goes it's about 10-15% faser, but for a 128mb card it's 50-75% more, if your willing to pay the premium.....
