ati radeon 8500 vs. 9200

Current ones aren't that different. They are all the budget cards now. ATI try to make the as cheap as possible. The old Radeon 8500 was way better with 275/550, because it was the top high end card at that time.
 
Damn my card is only a 250/200 one. Do you guys think it'll be a good idea to overclock it a little? If so, what tips would you guys suggest before overclocking or when overclocking it? Thanks.
 
The 8500 can do twice as many textures per pipe. Its a lot faster. Also, an 8500le *should* be clocked at 250/250. As for overclocking, I wouldnt use the stock cooler. The core should do 300 pretty easily, but I dont know about the ram. My 9100's ram(the card looks identicle to an 8500, even same numbers on the ram) did 250 but overheated. Perfectly stable at 235.
