Attention Nikon Coolpix 4300 owners!

I'm going to move up to the next level and get a 4MP camera, and the 4300 looks like a winner to me.

If you would be so kind as to post your experiances, and some sample pictures at full resolution (not TIFF), that would help me out a great deal (and maybe some other schmuck who wants to buy one too!).

Might I recommend to you a Canon G2 or G3? The G3 came out recently and sould help drive the price of the G2 down if cost is a factor.

Convince me. Gimmie some reasons. =)

There's no other brand that can top Nikon's macro, not even Canon. That's one of the main features that has me wanting the 4300.

Plus, the G3 is an $800 camera. That's twice as much as I want to pay. If I were to pay that much, I would get a Coolpix 995, the king of macro. Even the G2 is $600, $200 more than the Coolpix 4300.

Im looking at a new camera and I was looking at a 4mp Olympus. I didnt know about this camera till I read this thread. Im glad I did, i think I am more interested in this one now :-D

Although I dont have near the money to buy it yet, and I dont like my digital I have now, so I will be sticking with my trusty pentax slrs at the moment.

The 4500 is again higher than I want to pay. But I did check out the 995, and it looks pretty solid, the only problem with it being that it's 3.34MP, and I want 4MP. Too bad though, nice camera. =P
