just wondering what people's views on this is? i just upgraded to an AI7, and it has 6 channel output and s/pdif connectors. But i still have my Audigy MP3. I wonder, does the MP3 have that much better sound quality then the onboard? because if not, i will just take it out, and use my onboard audio. Unless also my onboard audio would slow down my computer performance in any way, then i would just stick with my audigy.. btw.. i hate the audigy programs..... like the tool bar, that i put at the top of my screen, it doesnt work properly.. like the drop down menu to the left of the with, doesnt ever want to stay down long enough for me to make a choice and i end up making the hcoice another way.. And, after i isntalled my audigy and its drivers, it just slowed my boot time of my pc! and i dont like that! I have a raptor 36 gig, and i dont want somethign stupid liek that slowing it down. So if i uninstall the audigy drivers and install the on baord sound drivers, would it lessen my boot time?

btw, the speakers im using are just two channel Koss speakers ( but they cost quite a bit and sound awsome :) )

I have a KT6 Delta from MSI and when I got away from the onboard sound to a creative Live card, My preformance jumped up.

All my games play much smoother than with onboard sound. Seems that when using onboard sound, you are loosing cpu clock cycles to the sound.

I had problems with my drivers for the Live! 5.1 card also. I uninstalled the drivers and all software and downloaded the drivers manually from creative. Since then I havent had any problems but a pop or 2 from the speakers every once in a while.
