ok everybody, i need some help, ive been only using windows xp and dont know all of its tweaks and stuff...i need to know how to set it so that when the computer idles, it wont go back to the log-in screen, or the welcome screen, it really annoys me everytime im doing something...especailly when running p95 at priority 10....

right click on destop...properties...screen savers...make sure the on resume password is not checked...I know this is for the screen saver...then go to...start...settings...control panel...power options...power schemes...change to always on...and changed everything to never...you should see...system stand by...this should be changed to never also...this should take care of your problem...

good XP tweak link...tweakxp.com...has nothing to do with the tweak XP program...

Hee Hee. thisis how I talked the wifey into letting me get a new CPU. I set it so the system would hibernate after 15 mins idle. when she asked me about it I told her that the CPU was overheating and needed to be replaced. But then since we had an older SLOT 1 AMD we had to get a new MB as well. Iknow it is a bit devious, but it worked and now she loves the speed of this new rig.
