I just got one of these for my bro pc and just wanted to share with short test for anyone is interested in cheap 6GB kits.
1st thing ... it was cheapest 1600/6GB kit that I saw in shops ... newegg price ~140$ and I got it in Poland for about ~135$ inc. tax and shipping. My other A-Data DDR3-2000G kit cost about 200$ here ( read in Poland )so difference is quite big.
Something that can be interesting and usually is hard to find in the net ...
XEE283A3G-A
... so almost the same PSC chips as in 2000G kits (XEE218A3G-A) ... almost is the key word here
These sticks have stock voltage 1.55-1.75V so I was testing them on 1.65V. Testing pc is my 24/7 setup ( no. 2 in sign ). Standard timings for 1600 are 9-9-9-24 as you can see on A-Data site( older kits had higher voltage and it seems like they didn't change info yet ).
Dos version of memtest86+ isn't working good to stress memory+IMC on x58. I had situations when ram was passing 3-4h test but was crashing in windows so I'm focusing on windows version runned on 8 threads.
I will pass stock settings
SPD info on screenshots.
1600 8-8-8-24 1T 1.65V
1850 9-9-9-24 1T 1.65V
I couldn't pass 1600 6-8-6-20 1T or 7-8-7-20 1T on 1.65-1.72V. The same 1800+ on 8-9-8-24 1T 1.65-1.74V. I couldn't make this kit run on above 1900 while 1850 is stable. So as I said "almost" the same chips like in 2000-G kit but can make noticable lower clocks ( 2000-G are making up to 2000+@ 7-9-7-22 1T on the same board ).
As I said before it's short test so thats all for now
All I can say is that's for sure not memory to break world records but it's really nice kit for this price and it's optimal for most gaming computers.
If anyone have questions then can always pm or ask in this thread and if anyone need some other tests then please give me info in next ~8-10h. Later I will switch it to other kit for longer testing.
