Having got my new 1.2 AXIA Y Tbird installed and running I really can't get it to run @ 1400 at 133 x 10.5. The FSB doesn't even get to 107 before total system lock up. When I get to 133 x 10.5 the computer restarts, then the monitor shuts down and that's it!!

Here are my system specs:

TBird 1.2 AXIA Y
Taisol HS w Delta Fan
ABit KT7
640 PC133 RAM
Leadtek GeForce 2 MX DH PRO
Pinnacle TV Rave
Realtek Network card
Soundblaster Live 1024

Any ideas why? or how can I get higher as I hear that most of the AXIA Y's can get over 1.5 with good cooling.

Thanks

I know thta my video card will lock up if I go to 138 (inexpensive video card) with my 1 w/266FSB....so I am at 1.4 (10.5x137)

Do you have a 1.2 w/ 200FSB ( 12x100 ) or a 1.2 w/ 266FSB ( 9x133 )

The Abit KT7, having the KT133 chipset, as opposed to the KT133A, will not support an FSB much higher than about 109. The one i had would only work up to 103. It was for that reason that I dumped it.

Hoot

I have a 1.2 12 x 100 TBird

Ah that's why! Thanks hoot. Don't really have the money to get a new KT7 A really, need a CD RW and a whole bunch od bits for my car.

Thanks anyway

with the chipset you can try 133x10 but at boot up some mobos want to start at the default multiplier and fsb for you that would mean for a moment the chip would run at 133x12 or 1600 which we all know won't happen. if it does work it might not work when you cold boot it. I recommend getting a 266 chip.

Uh? Can't quite afford a new chip or mobo at the mo. As I have just bought this processor. Someone else on the Overclockers.co.uk forum said that I need to unkock the L4 bridges on the chip. Is ths right?
