I just got the Vantec. I expected to have to deal with the Delta fan but the 6800 fan that comes with it isn't a Delta, at least I don't think it is. I just plugged it in for a minute and it is noisy but not like what I feared. So it isn't a Delta. Anyone know about this hsf? It got good mention; better than the FOP38 and PEP66, at least on one site.

Delta's are not always listed as such. The one that came with my Alpha 6035 was marked Global Win. It was too noisy for me.

It is a Delta. We carry them and asked Vantec when our first shipment arrived as they have the Vantec logo on top. We have the full spec's on the fan on our site.

Gee, it isn't that awful. Hoot said that he's going to post instructions on how to use the LM317 voltage regulator to deaden it somewhat so I'll do that.

I really wanted the Papst33 fan that (I think) Ed mentioned in a rewiew of heatsinks. You don't carry that one. Don't feel bad, no one else does either. How come?

We've had zero luck trying to source those and Panaflo fans...so far. We'll keep looking though :)
