ok so asus has f'ed us over again.
I am trying to shed myself of this piece of crap 2501 bios that is hopeless and nothing will let me backdate it.
asus has f'ed up so badly that the rig will not shutdown without using the power button, it will only restart to pre post, so to restart or shut down I now have to use the power button!!!!!
arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have used the bios updater, the ai suite ez flash and bios updater, none will let me out of this asus hell!!!!!!!!
anybody got a workaround for the sabertooth??????? PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
and I promise never to buy another asus product again!!! and I advise that you not spend another penny with the either..

Did you try removing the battery and puling the plug also push the power button at the same time?

the cmos will clear, I have to rid myself of this bios and then of this asus garbage.

have you tried afudos 2.36
that is what we used on the earlier boards

If that is the R2.0 then you can use the USB flashback like this http://www.manualslib.com/manual/414973/Asus-Sabertooth-990fx-R2-0.html?page=64#manual
If it's the original revision then you'll have to do it through DOS as Dejo suggested. If you have the original support CD then you can get the utility from it and use this as a guide http://www.manualslib.com/manual/479534/Asus-Sabertooth-990fx.html?page=98#manual Here's the updater from the ASUS site http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/Bupdater_V126.zip?_ga=1.130950860.296446234.1449005373

thanks again johan!!!!! saved my saberpuss from those sneaky bass turds that that feel they own what I paid for!!!!!!!!!!

Thats a bit surprising with 2501. Been running it pushing a year now, with no issues. I did have issues with 2103 through 2301.

2005 was the last 'previous' version that was stable for me prior to 2501.
