Backlight leakage, Buzzing sounds & input lag questions

After reading a number of reviews I see these issues cropping up alot. Questions:

1. One review I read stated the problem with light leakage was from improper handleing at the manufacturing and shipping level that caused pressure against the bexel causing light leakage. Any comments here?

2. This "Buzzing" problem, I assume it is from the backlight and what exactly what/where is the problem??

3. I see some reviews stating the frequency of the backlight. Why is this important?

4. Is this "input lag" only a issue with fast paced video games?

1. Backlight leakage or backlight bleed can be expierenced with a dark image or completly black screen. The symptoms are "non black" areas or the screen isnt uniformly the same black color. This is caused by the fact that the backlight is still on full blast even thought the pixels are told to shut down and not let light escape... some light still comes through.

2. Buzzing problems expierenced with lcds is commonly caused by the circuit that takes the low voltage input source and steps it up to super high voltage to run the cold cathode. Or within that same circuit the Pulse width modulation used to determine the backlight brightness.

3. Frequency of the backlight? do you mean refresh rate... dont quite understand.

4. Input lag ust to be a big problem with lcds back in the day... nowadays your typical lcd doesnt as much but it will always be there... usually ranges from 15-60ms... but like i said newer lcds are getting better and better.

For example... my 52inch LCD HDTV has a claimed 8ms Responce time from white to black... and its definetly 8ms as the display is able to do 120hz refresh... but thats a whole nother subject. ANYWAYS i tested the lag of the screen by simply hooking a CRT monitor to my htpc then ran cloned displays with a timer that had 1/1000th's of seconds. Then using a digi camera with flash on i captured many images. (just so you know computer monitors have a decent amount lower of input lag as HDTV's usually do a bit more of image processing before displaying the image)

Crt is on left HDTV is on right... ~ a 44ms lag in this picture... but it ranged from 29ms - 44ms lag and averaged out to 38.8ms using 10 different pictures.

I understand this, but I'm referring to the additional amount 'leaking' around the corners and/or sides.
Frequency of the backlight? do you mean refresh rate
At least one test site states the rate of the backlight in Hz. For the life of me I can't find a review that has it, but I have read it over and over. I was just wondering the importance here.
