Today something lower frequency but still interesting ( at least for me ) - Ballistix Sport LT 2x16GB DDR4-2666. Ballistix is now separated brand so it's not a Crucial anymore ... but still it's brand of Micron.

Tested memory kit has two 16GB modules. It's listed on the Crucial website/store under the PN: BLS2K16G4D26BFSC.

Memory modules are camo white with white PCB. Not many brands have white PCB so it's interesting option if you wish to have everything white for motherboards like MSI Arctic or Titanium.










XMP profile isn't any special as it's 2666 16-18-18 but it's working fine on Intel and AMD platforms ( tested on Ryzen ).

Below you can check memory module details. As you can see dual rank modules are based on Micron IC.





Memory is fully stable and during tests were no issues at all.

Timings are maybe not any special but it's 2x16GB Micron kit and I was surprised it was able to run at DDR4-3200 fully stable. Most Microns can't make much more than DDR4-3000. Some won't pass DDR4-2800. I won't tell you what it will be but soon you will see one more test of memory kit based on Micron IC. I guess that because of high Samsung IC price and some shortage, memory manufacturers will move to Micron and Hynix. Ballistix is Micron brand so we can expect to see Micron IC but 3000+ Crucial/Ballistix kits are based on Samsung IC so I wonder how it will change in next months.

Crucial has altered SPD to force IMC to run with 16T CAS Latency by default. So, I guess the used components are MT40A1G8WE-075E:B (D9TNW).
