@KeeperOfTheButch and I got some new hardware up and running in the last week or so. Added another 4070 super to my main rig

And then we got this Dell T7920 up and running a couple days ago. Running Dual Xeon Gold 5120s, 6 channel DDR4 (96GB) and 2 4070TIs. Will be adding 2 more cards eventually with PCIe Risers for each. This thing has 4 full speed PCIe 3.0 x16s, 28 physical cores and 56 threads! Currently running about 25.5-30m PPD in Ubuntu with cards running at stock speeds.

This is going to harvest soooooo many bananas! The 7920 I would recommend if you can get it cheap enough. We paid $565 all in. Rack was $30 and the rizer cables are another 30-40. It also has a 1400w psu that can handle 2 modern cards. Great setup for the price.

Now that is a site to behold.:soda:

After a ton of work, some bad ram, and testing, we finally have this beast folding correctly. Swapped the 4070 supers from my main machine in for one of the 4070Tis and have it folding on Ubuntu 22.04! It's doing quite good numbers! Will be adding another 4070Ti to see how well it does with 4 cards as soon as more risers come in.

Kyle also picked up this machine and we tossed a 4070 Ti into it. 3900x and an x570 mobo. He's got a new case for it on the way. Also will be upgrading my main computer soon with an x570 mobo and 5900x and will be tossing the 4070Ti into it after we're done testing 4 cards in the Dell.

It's nice to finally have most of the stuff up and running smoothly!

We took a hit from our daily thunderstorm last night. I switched over to generator and although PECO is supposed to notify when my power is restored they never did, so I have no way of telling when it comes back on. So it ran all night PC's off. Switched back to street power just now and I am back up and running. Glad it was 72 last night because I still don't know if I can run my Heat Pump off the gen.

I would have found out in an hour as it's going up to 96f...Glad I didn't have to test it.

Outage map still shows 600 folks without power.

Dang man! Glad everything is back up! I don't even want to imagine being inside with no a/c when it's 96 out 😮

It was so hot in the last few days (and no AC here) that I was folding only when I was at work. I still see around 20M PPD, but it could be 50-55M. I doubt I will fold 24/7 because of electricity costs. I don't get how in the whole EU prices went down in the last years, but in Poland, they constantly go up, and the government is lying that it's required.
