Thanks Batboy! with your advise and help i'm now running my p3 1g@1279 with 2.5CV and with all the cooling mods I did [even though I was not hot then] now running seti its 31C 25c ambient and system temp so there is hope for a abit VH6-2 i'm going to let the proccesor burn in at its new speed and who knows maybe it will stay stable I wont know until I play games on it for a few hours or more. those of you thinking of vidpinning I tried twice and was unsuccesful because I was trying to go to high you must pay careful attention to your default voltage and only try to raise it slightly [mine was 1.7] I tried for 2 and 2.5CV but no go tried 1.9 and now in bios I can go to 2.10 but in my via hardware monitor it says its only 2.5. i'm pretty happy tonight I thought maybe it was time for a new MB but i'll keep kicking this one around for a while :)

hahaha.....really scary man!! 2.50V....if the abit mobo can do that after vidpinning, i also want!! more Vcore more stable ocing.....
:) :) :) :)

If not a secret, can anyone please share this trick thing, becaue I have ABIT VH6-1 and the max CV I can go with is 1.7V, and I need more.

Thanks!

go to hardocp and go to the articles section and you will find what you need note! you must pay attention to your defaultCV and only go a little higher then that it took my 3 tries to get it rite because I went to far I would only go 2\10ths of a volt over default like this ,ine was 1.7 and i went to 1.9 to get it to work if you need more info post and i'll be glad to help just to let everyone know even though i booted into windows at 1278 I can only get 1255 out of her for gaming for now i get random reboots if i go higher.

I have heard that abit boards run voltage a little higher than in menu.I think its around .025, yet I have tested on a couple of different motherboard monitors that my vh6II has a consistent .08 v greater than in menu.for eg 1.7in menu=1.78 on monitor 1.85- 1.93, 1.9- 1.98 is this kinda weird or normal?

Yes my SH6 shows .02 vcore more in every monitoring program than in the bios. Also my cpu fsb is +1 in every monitoring program.

My via shows most of my voltages are less then what it says in bios thats a bummer for vio it should be 3.5 and i'm stuck with 3.3

i had big voltage fluctuare on my VP6 mobo!! i set the Vcore @ bios with 2.05(after vidpinning) and hardware monitor and MBM shows that Vcore are 2.1V. sometime even worst!! it can reach 2.11~2.12V!! strange!!

There almost always is a slight difference in real voltage compared to what BIOS increment you have it set to. When set at 1.9v, my hardware doctor monitor shows anywhere from 1.91v to 1.93v. This is normal, look at system voltage. It's not a perfect 12v either.
