Grabbed a set of these about a month ago . Seem to work great ; no complaints for the price .

Why would you spend $8 on alkalines when you can get 8 2500mah NiMH AAs for $20?

If you need a large number of batteries for devices that use little power. Not to mention im not sure how many mah are on these AAs, and for $16 youd have 80. If those batteries are 10 times longer lasting then they still dont break even.

Sometime rechargeables are not the best for many applications as they tend to loose a charge too quickly even while just sitting not being used (ie: remote controls , clocks , pagers , garage door openers ,etc) .
