A quick apology to all my fellow OC Seti Team members:

I have been around little the past few weeks- many real life things have come up.....most of which stank!

My car broke the crankshaft on the way back from a clients office- (picking up the new car today.)

My job has gotten me some training which I sorely need- and has been getting about 8 hours a day of my time in addition to doing my regular work.

My stove died, and I tried to repair it.......unsuccessfully, so I needed a new one.

I have been having bandwidth/connection problems that ATT claim are on MY end.......which is not so.

A couple of my computers got shut down without my knowledge.....and one of them is not coming back on:mad: Not sure what the problem is yet.

All of which adds up to me being on here almost not at all in the last few weeks, and paying almost no attention to SETI crunching :(

But things appear to be looking up: I found a car, which I should be picking up this morning; the stove has been replaced; and I finished the first few "modules" of the training stuff. The connection to the internet seems to be okay the last couple of days, so maybe whatever was broke is fixed.

And it isn't all bad news: my Swiftech water cooling kit came, along with a few other things!

On to Seti Stuff:

First, I want to welcome all the new people who have joined in my "absence"! Welcome to the Best Seti team to crunch for!
I welcome even those of you who have KEPT me above the top 30 for the last couple of weeks! lol

Hearty congrats to TC for the 20,000 wu Milestone! Woo hoo!

And a big, huge (grudging!) congrats to my longtime rival LandShark, who has just passed me after a long hard fight!
Good job, my friend!
And a nice battle we have....which is NOT over! If I can find out what is wrong with my dead system I'll be right on your back!

Well, that is all I have time for- and a long post anyway.

Say Roger, did the package arrive OK and did you have any trouble with the PSUs?

Things do seem to have settled down a bit- at least for now.....

PSU's arrived fine; no chance to mess with 'em yet though.

Got the new car, now I have to put the stereo in it....

Thanks for the welcome(s) back!

More later: I'm watching my nephew right now (2 yrs old) so I've got my hands full!

The kid must have heard you- beaned me a couple of times for not letting him take all the popcorn!

Bought a used Miata; body in excellent shape, some mechanical work needed- and done at dealers expense.

Pretty happy with it after one day; we'll see what the real mechanic I use has to say Monday! My state has a Lemon Law which keeps prices up, but adds some security for used car purchases.

Seti stuff: It looks like I'm going to have to get the old machines going again sometime real soon- the 450 K6-2 gave its' video card to one of the new XP rigs, but one of them died:( so its available again. Also my Mac fan friend bought a new rig so shuffled his stuff around and I end up with an old 233mhz one!

Haven't done anything with it yet except try one wu- which took 48 hours!!!! But until I can get the farm up to full speed I need all I can get <lol>! The mac and the 450(@500) should add 7 to 9 wu a WEEK! Better than nothing!
