after some finacial and family hard ships im back and i frankly have lost touch for a while any way i was wondering can anybody tell me what major good things have come out since august also i was thinking about buying a intel 4-core and 4-nvidia 8800's would this be a good rig or not-- i dont know yet but if anyone can update me id be very thank full

4 8800's wont work. there is no qual sli, outside of the 2 7950gx2's.

really there is no need for qual sli, unless you have a monitor that a resolution of 8000x5000. even dual 8800gtx is overkill for standard resolutions.

Depends on what you want to do..
A single 8800 GTX can come close to catching up with your quad SLI setup.. ouch
and your CPU overclocks better then the quadcore kentfeild.

If anything, You could consider a GFX and mobo upgrade? but with the X6800's unlocked multi.. the only thing a mobo upgrade is going to do for you is get you some more FSB

Most would really wonder what your doing with that rig anyway

What are the tasks and what tasks are you looking to perform on your rig

What is your display setup like? What res and what games do you want to play at that res?
