Hi guys
I've just bought a new motherboard and I'll be going for an 8600k CPU, but I believe I'll need to look at liquid cooling if I want to overclock?
Any suggestions for a decent, simple & cost effective solution? Ideally an all in one set up as it'll only be used for iracing really so shouldn't be too hard on the CPU I don't think.
Even suggestions of manufacturers to look at or avoid?
Cheers guys :)

you will be able to oc very well with either an aircooled hsf or a watercooled aio. the cheaper option would be a hsf. a really solid hsf will run you $50+ where as a solid aio will be twice that for very little gain. if i were in your boots i would go with this
https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright-True-Spirit-140-Power/dp/B00IYEEOMO?tag=hardfocom-20
or
https://www.amazon.com/Thermalright...F8&qid=1538955456&sr=1-1&keywords=macho+rev+b.
both hang tough with the best coolers out there.
to best either of these two hsfs youll need a solid 240mm aio which is going to run you in the $80-$120 range.

The 2nd option looks ideal, probably a touch too large for my case though but I'm currently looking at case options.
The other i was considering was the cryorig H5

Also, don't mean to sound stupid.. but hsf? Heat sink..? [emoji23][emoji848]

A dual or triple AIO should suffice. Have a look at Corsair's lineup if you're still interested. The more rad the better, that's if budget permits.

Best budget air cooler is the Coolmaster 212s with either a single fan or dual fans.
Looking at a corsair H100x 280mm liquid cooler, is that generally considered better than air? Are they pumps pretty reliable? As obviously an air cooler has nothing to potentially go wrong really. :)

As good or better than high-end air, yeah. The pump is as reliable as any other CLC pump.

If the pump quits (or in the case of air cooling the fan) the system has protections in it to prevent the cpu from overheating.
