I took some screenshots of Sandra 2002 with my P4@2900 MHz. My ram scores seem a little low but it really isn't bad for ddr at only 145 FSB. I hope to hit 3 GHz as soon as I can get a peltier or if I can upp the voltage beyond 1.85. I would really like to be able to voltmod the board but I havn't figured it out yet. By the way this system is neatly stuffed into a water cooled Micro atx case. I'll get pics up soon.

Yodums my WU times are usually 5-15 min under 3 hours. I really wish I could run a higher FSB so my WU times would drop even more.

Inteleron I'm looking at a 156 watt peltier for a number of reasons. I want the peltier setup to still be able to fit inside my Micro ATX case so I must run the pelt off of the same PSU my system is running off. With that in mind I will need an Antec 510 PSU since it puts out 30 amps on the 12v line. The peltier will be taking around 12-13 amps which makes it just about perfect for the PSU.

That's real nice, Bender. I'd like to see another type of benchmark though. I've seen the results of the P4 willies on running the Folding@Home client and they aren't impressive at all (Celeron T's will beat them), but I haven't seen anyone try the client with the new Northwood procs. Could you please install the client and fold a few proteins so that I could see what improvements the extra 256k cache makes, as well as the high speed you are running at?:D I'm not really trying to recruit you into folding; (although you are more than welcome to come fold with us:D ) I want to see how much improvement the new die shrink and extra cache makes in the floating point performance of the Northwood P4 compared to the older Willies.

Yes, I would like to see this as well please. It's no doubt these NW's are great, fast chips. But it's also known(atleast among folders) that AMD has always been a lot faster when it comes to folding. Since folding power is a big part of my chip buying decision, I'd like to know how fast these monsters can fold.

BTW if you do decide to do this favor for us, then could you put team #32 in when you set it up? I know it's not much, but hey, we really could use all the help we can get right now. Even if it's 1 wu. We're in 3rd place right now and we're struggling to keep that. /end plug for folding.

I'll probably do some folding in a day or so. I have been really buisy so I havn't been around here much. How do I find out how fast I am folding? Does folding have a gui front end like Seti driver?

You can use a program called Foldmonitor to give you your folding times. When you get ready to fold a few WU's, just come over and post in the F@H section and we'll be glad to help you set up your rig. I appreciate this Bender, because with AMD deciding to do away with the 4 holes around the socket for hsf mounting, I'm leaning towards a P4 Northwood for my next upgrade. I've attached a pic of the foldmonitor for you.
