We all know about our trusty Sandra in Windows. But is there a version for linux, or anything like it for linux? It'd be great to get some benchies...

I don't think there is one complete benchmark suite like Sandra in linux. There are many benchmarks, but they are all for pretty specfic purposes, and mostly geared towards servers. The only benchmark I've used is 'openssl speed' which tests CPU performance, but I don't know if its influenced by anything else.
