This is probably the most viewed area. I guess it could have gone in general cpu or gen hardware, but not as many people look there

the above, that's why ... i figured the most person's with really fast systems were most likely viewing cooling ..

but truth be told, my goal was not to inundate this section at OCFORUMS with results scores ... i wanted you guys to join in at the actual sciencemark bench thread at Techpowerup.com ...

:)

so once more, as a general PSA:

join the Sciencemark 2.0 Benchathon over at TechPowerUp! forums and post your scores!:

Sciencemark 2.0 Benchathon!!

E6700 @ 4.22 GHz

I could go for much higher, but I dont feel like opening up the windows in my room pushing for a 4.70 ghz bench....

Dude! post your pic and score over at techforums and tell them to update the score listing ... you take second place with that score!

<kick ***>

still can't believe my 4.1ghz bench with a 6400 beat it, though ... i think the 200+ dollar mushkin ram i bought is pretty good. be sure to post a cpuz screeny for others so the can learn from your settings.

This test is extremely FSB/Memory dependent. Thats why you think the scores are all goofed up. It is not taking into account either core cache or CPU clockspeed into general score.

How do I know this?

I just ran both a 4.4Ghz and 4.6 Ghz bench that passed Sciencemark and only netted me a maximum of 2251..... Thats coming from my first run of 4.2 Ghz and a score of 2231... My FSB/RAM speed never surpasses 460/920 where your FSB/Ram surpassess 513/1026... Thats the problem here.

Let me see what I can do.. lol

Ok, I have come to my final conclusion on this software and I think I just broke the #1 spot by about 100 points or so.. Until one of the OCForums or XtremeSystems DICE or LN2 big shots comes on and sees this post.. lol

This test is with 100% certainty FSB/RAM dependent and also timings dependent.

Here are my results -
E6700 @ 4.2 Ghz (10 X 420 FSB/RAM) = 2231
E6700 @ 4.6 Ghz (10 X 460 FSB/RAM) = 2251

E6700 @ 4.4 Ghz (8 X 490 FSB/RAM) = 2386

If you can take a quick look and decipher my results, it clearly shows that this benchmark does not give into to bumps in CPU clockspeed without bumping fsb/ramspeed as well. Heck, I couldve benched it at 4.80 Ghz and it wouldnt have eclipsed my high fsb/ram 4.4 Ghz score. I also tried using a divider on the ram with utterly similar results to my 4.6 Ghz bench. This benchmark enjoys high fsb/ram with tight timings on a 1:1 setup.

Cheers fellas. Here is the screenshot:

If I was a mod, I would also move this into the benchmarking section. Let me go make a mod request to move this thread. I will be right back.
