bending the thermal probe in the zif socket??

recently I've heard that in asus mobo's you could bend the thermal probe in the zif socket upwards therefore having the probe actually touch the cpu enabling you to get more accurate temps... now is this true??? and if so could I do it to my asus cuv4x?? and what does this thing look like???
