I've been using Nos Super Coolant Addictive, and it makes tons of bubbles in my reservor ;(

lets say 1/4 of my bay reservoir is filled w/ bubbles ;) good place for bubble bath

recommend me a coolant that makes NO bubble / and w/ decent performance. oh yeah..i dont want one w/ pink color ;)

zerex is pretty good.. its green, like toxic glowing green.. good stuff
i hope u weren't using that additive alone.. don't think it has any corrosion inhibitors.. :-/

I use 80-85% distilled watter, and rest Zerex Super Protectant.. it's not coolant at all, it's just an additive for it that has crazy corrosion inhibiters and acts as watter wetter but without the color or bubbles. and clear.

I've been using Dex-Cool stuff...nice orange color, and it's got some good silicate/phosphate free corrosion inhibiting goodness.

All you need is something with decent corrosion protection that doesn't change the viscosity of water much... Any cooling properties of the fluid basically don't mean anything in such small concentrations - you just don't want to be pouring in a corrosion protector with a consistency of maple syrup.

Any of the popular ones recommended around here seem to work fine for the majority - zerex, dex-cool, etc.

mmmm maple syrup
i had 100% zerex coolent at one time.. don't try it, that stuff is THICK.. and goopy... but smelled sweet

where can I find zerex or dex? local autoshop? home depot? walmart? oh yes they have everything ;)

Well, I'm addicted to my WC rig too... so I suppose a water "addictive" is in order ;-)

I'm shopping today for Zerex super protectant OR a blue antifreeze for VW/Audi's.

Ok, I went to Western Auto today. No blue antifreeze. I descided to purchase some Zerex Protectant.

However, I did go ahead and purchase some blue antifreeze from the website from the previous post. It was cheep, and should arrive sometime this week. I'll post a pic when I have it flowing in my system.

how well does Zerex Super Protector perform? are there any disadvantages (is it thick, or do you think it would hinder performance in any way)? i think the idea of just a corrosion inhibitor makes a lot of sense, and its clear.

i use zerex super protector for a yr... it rocks... i don't have to change the water for 12 month.... and when I opens up the WB... the channels are damn clean.....

sweet, thanks. think i'll be able to find it at napa, homedepot, or target? or is it more of a specialty product? how much?

12 months??? man what a waste
i don't plan on changing for 10 years (kinda like my car :D) or maybe i'll change it if i find blue antifreeze, and recycle the stuff i already have for my car, it don't seem to mind anyways :)

you can find it at target, but probably not home depot..
K mart actually has a wide selection..
any local gas station or auto shop should have it for sure.
and for um.. 5 bucks for the 50/50 formula (A BIG CONTAINER) u can probably sell the rest to someone with a car, lol

Zerex Super Protactant - name exatly as that comes in a 14.5 fl /oz bottle that's white and the sticker has a redish background to it.. can be found at forsure : autozone (where i work), pepboys, napa :maybey / wallmart , target.

It doesnt seem to have any inhibiting heat tranfer issues with the distilled water.. it's really thing. almost like water itself. not only is is corrosion inhibiter but it also has a lubracant in it like watter wetter and yess it's clear.. been super for me so far.

i have just been using distilled water - too lazy to put anything in it - - lol, i think i will be switching to windshield washer fluid though because i am gonna try to harness mother nature's chilling power (it is generally around 30*F here in cleveland, oh durring the winter)

is there anything in Zerex Super Protactor that would protect from algae or bacteria or anything? or would i need something else too?
