Hello,
I am going to buy a 1.333 Ghz AMD Thunderbird Processor with the AXIA core and i was wondering if anyone can tell me the motherboard that I should buy with it. I am planning to use PC2100 DDR ram, so this motherboard must have support for it. I would like the motherboard with the best value and best features for its price. I am currently considering the Asus A7A266 but ive heard some negative (as well as positive) things about it, so I am unsure. Please everyone post ur choices! Thank you very much

The A7A 266 is not so hot but it is cheep "for Asus". The A7M 266 is a great board but the price is around $170. Right now I would go with an Asus A7V 133 instead of going ddr. If you are overclocking the fsb you can get the performance of ddr ram. I had an A7V 133 that will do 164 fsb with ram at 222 so the memory bandwidth is better than ddr at 133. If you have the money just go with the A7M.

Right now I would go for the Epox 8K7A, but I heard that the Abit KG7 was coming out soon so I would wait until then. Cheapest DDR board right now is the Fix, I mean FIC AD11. I think it was $109 at newegg...

I currently have the Asus A7m266 motherboard, i'm very pleased with the performance and stability, but I really wanna overclock my system badly so this board isnt gonna cut it.. I'm currently looking at these 2 riad motherboards coming out for ddr.. Abit KG-7raid and the Gigabyte 7DXR, Given Abits performance and noticing that it does have more or a reputation for solid overclocking I'll probably go with this motherboard, also it has 4 ddrsdram dimms
hope this helps bro:
