Best AMD DDR motherboard?

ASUS A7V266 has got 3 Dimm slots and supports 3gig of Ram! From what I read you can set the FSB all the way up to 227mhz. just add Liquid Nitrogen to the CPU! Thats my story and I'm stinking with it!

The Abit KG7 looks OK, but I would not go as far as saying it's the best, or even up there. So far the A7V266 benches the highest and looks to be good and stable. Personally I'm going to wait AT LEAST until the VIA KT266 v2 chip based mobos hit the market.

I checked there and didnt seem to find anything... Let me check again.
Thanks.

Your probably going to have to wait 2 weeks or so. They have hardly hit Japan yet, and are not expected to make it to the US or Canada for at least 2 weeks. Asus JUST started shipping them.

Last month I bought MSI K7T266 DDR Board c/w 3 x DDR Slots

Amazed by the flexiblity and the o/c support (hardware and software) maybe worth a look.

I have heard all kinds of bad stories about the K7T266 and 1.4G 266FSB Athlons. It this point I would say the A7V266 or nothing at all.

It seems that with early BIOS revisions this board was VERY unstable and there were lots of incompatibilities with 266FSB CPUs. But, looks like it's all over now. Just checked out a review on VIA Hardware, looks like a good mobo.

What about the Epox? And can someone please tell me what the USDM means?
Thanks.

Bye the Shuttle AK31 rev.2
It has 4 ddr slots & overclocks very well with the new KT266 stepping chipset.

Check out the shuttle AK31. has 4mem slots and multiplier, voltage and fsb settings all in the bios. It uses ddr and it gets really good reviews. In one review they put it up against the Epox 8k7a and it was right behind it all the way. I bought one for 91 bucks from Sunset Marketing and I have no complaints about buying from them. Here is a link to a site with several links to reviews of this board: http://www.neoseeker.com/Hardware/Products/Shuttle_ak31/. At the least, you should check it out. Happy hunting.

Shuttle - nice board, but really not an overclockers dream due to its lack of elevated stability (the ability to run chips at high speeds out of specification stably when they just shouldn't run - the making of a great overclocking board)
