Best Name brand pc setup
edit: sry for the misleading title, at first i just wanted dell info, but changed my mind, as i didnt want to limit it to just dell.
I am being "commissioned" (without pay tho....) to customize a name brand computer for a friend going to college next month (2nd semester) and she is on a budget around $1000 moniter included. I will not let her go celery (sry Celeron) for obvious reasons, and winxp pro would be nice, and office is a requirement.
Should she go Dell, or gateway, or what? She does not want a custome computer, and a 2 year warranty is the minimum. Mail in rebates would be fine.
No overclocking wanted, i couldnt convnce her to go custome, even offered to build it, o well.....
