Majora's mask...

Oh wait, games that came out in 2009?

Forza 3, Forza 3, a side of Forza 3 and an extra large Forza 3 to drink.

Despite the crappy PC port and other issues swirling around, Borderlands is the clear winner in my book.

Cryostasis was a huge sleeper hit in my opinion.

It won best story from Gamespot.com, and was nominated for several others.

I actually tried the Torchlight demo last night and thought to myself 'I'd buy this if it went on sale for $10.'

It's only $5 today

Nah, more like 'best game that couldn't easily have been released as an expansion pack.'

Even if mw2 could have been released as an expansion pack (I don't think it is actually posible) I'd still say its the best game of 2009. I guess all the original games aren't very good...

-edit-

Games are like brand names now, left for dead, battlefield, call of duty, and so on. Just because a game has the same brand name doesn't mean it is the same as the previous games. Who cares of MW2 is called call of duty: modern warfare 2. It would be the same game if it was called "boom! headshot" instead.
