get the best nvidia deal its called nvidia 9500, its faster than the 4600 at stock and pretty close to 9700 when overclocked. runs for 175 too. cheaper and faster than the other cards you were looking at just remember.

Nvidia 9500 ;) some sites might call it ati but dont believe em. get it.

Ok kids, here is our mission:

Please don't crap on my thread about Radeon. Bless you Radeon fanatics, you know I love you and I know you mean well, but this is for GF4 only. Yes, I know some of the new Radeon cards, especially the 9500 Pro, are great. But, I have my heart set on a GF4, so please respect that.

This is from the initial post.

There is nothing wrong with ATI, I would have suggested a 9500 pro had he not written that. Its just his personal prefrence and we should respect that.

Too bad I can't find you a deal like the one I found yesterday... I snagged a PNY Ti4400 128Mb off the return table at Best Buy. It was marked down to $149 from $239! It had been sitting their 5 minutes, so I guess I got lucky. It is currently O/C'ed to 295/645 only because I haven't tried for more, artifact free. It even dropped in to my Epox 8KHA+ MOBO with little more than rubbing transistors. I had not intended to buy a new Vid card until something demanded my GF3 Ti200's replacement, or a good deal fell in my lap. Now I can play all of the EA Sports titles with max detail, and Battlefield 1942 doesn't hiccup anymore.

32.30 Det's and DirectX 9 final.

Edit: I just set it to 300/650 (Ti4600) and ran a 10355 3DMark2001SE on my 1800+ w/ 768 Mb DDR. Not a bad deal at all ;)

aaa ic thanks you all got it but still this abit gf4 ti4200 otes is a neat card look into it

i thought about getting an otes but i heard in several reviews that they fan was like a little mini screamer... i didn't want to have the extra noise for a little more performance... so i just bought the ti 4400

I was reading a review of the Abit 4200 OTES somewhere (can't remember though).

The person testing the card said he got a "regular" non OTES Abit card to overclock higher than the OTES.

Imma look for that review.

hey, i want to give you a BIG heads up about a card i was reading about, the albatron GF4 Ti4680 Turbo, its 8x too :p .... anyway i read a review that said that card can do 305/695  and at that oc, in bencies it preformed almost as well as a 9700pro! (at stock) it goes for $210 on newegg so its still in your price range right? ill try to look for the link on the review...it was a in newsletter in my email...
