Hey all,

Going to be running a 1.0 GHz AMD, 200 MHz FSB on a Biostar M7MIA. I plan to drop the multiplier and run it at 266 MHz FSB. Looking for a GOOD HSF combo to cool this bad boy. I'm already running an 80 mm case fan for intake and a 5 1/2 drive bay exhaust setup with two fans. The case itself usually stays fairly cool with my PIII 500, but I know the AMD puts out more heat. So what sort of HSF do you all recommend? I don't want to watercool, just stay with conventional cooling.

Thanks in advance.

I recomend the large Taisol or the Alpha PAL6035 or a modified Alpha PEP66 or a FOP32 with an 80mm fan mounted on top.

Any of these should do a great job.

If money is not a question, I recommend the Swiftech MC-462A. It has cooling capacity to spare, with an eye on the future.

Hoot

I have an FOP 32-1 with an 80mm 47cfm fan on it, I have it in a slocket so I had to make a really shallow duct for it but it works fine, it is louder than my 26cfm 60mm fan and about the same volume as a delta (could just be that I have 3 of these in my case as well as my old 60mm and a little 40mm on my gfx card) but not as annoying as it is a lower tone.
