Hey everybody,
I have a Tyan Tiger 133 (1834) with dual p3 800eb w/ 512mb sdram (168pin)133fsb. I want to improve performance even if its just to 900mhz, but I want to use the same processor and memory, I also need an AGP 4x slot and 4pci slots. I am not sure which board to get. The Abit VP6 sounds great, but I don't know if I can somehow use my slot 1 chips on it? I would appreciate any help.
Thank you in Advance,
Luis

For slot 1 133 MHz FSB CPUs I think your only option is a dual 840 chipset RAMBUS mobo. Here's a link:

They go for about $300. I've seen BX chipset dual CPU boards that take PIII 850s, but I don't think they have a 133 MHz FSB setting.

Hey Guys,
Thank you very much for all your time and thought. If I'm understanding correctly, (forgive my ignorance) because I have the EB version instead of the E processor, I cannot put this on a dual slot 1 board which is 100fsb, and crank the fsb past 133. Unless I use the Intel 840 chipset with RambusRAM which would be too expensive for my budget.
I think I'll wait and get a dual PIII 1ghz and a AbitVP6. Any thoughts on this combo?
Thank you again,
Luis
