hi people
at the moment i have a asus cubx for my celeron 600 cBo... but this crappy little board doesn't support voltages beyond 1.6V to overclock it stable to 900... right now it's running at this setting @900 but only with windows and office stuff !! when it gets to gamez it crashes sooner or later... now i want to know what's best for my cpu to get it stable... am i right that the old slot1 boards with an adjustable slocket are first choice ?! thanks for now...

There are easier ways of upping the voltage without spending out on a new motherboard.

There are plenty of guides on the internet that show how to up the volts on socket boards with a bit of copperwire around three or four pins. You've just gotta find them

I'm in the same boat. I think either the Asus CUSL2 or the MSI i815 pro would be the best choices. According to reviews I've read the CUSL2 slightly edges out the MSI, while the MSI i815e pro 6337 is the more stable of the 2. I believe more overclockers are gonna use the Asus.
Here are some reviews of these boards. http://www.technoyard.com/hardware/motherboards/asus-cusl2/page_1.html

I was leaning towards the MSI, but in posting this msg and re-reading these reviews I think I may go Asus, despite some of the cold boot issues mentioned in the reviews and on the forum. Hopefully Asus will fix the bugs in Bios updates.
Good luck!
Oh, did I mention I got my star today?
