I need some input. This will be my first RAID setup. I have an unlocked PIII coppermine 1gig, and a 30 gig IBM 75GXP (plan to get another). I would like to get some suggestions on which mobo will be the best. I am looking mostly for stability and ease of overclocking (aren't we all). Thanks,

E

If its a 100fsb cpu then abit bx 133 raid.
I dunno about a 133mhz cpu in the board, I guess it depends upon how much of a agp bus speed your video card can handle. Wait.. with a unlocked cpu you can adjust it to keep everything happy!
Want to trade cpus?

I ended up going with the new ST6. This looks like a sweet board. I'll tell you guys when I get it.

The vrm 8.5 means you can only get 1.85 volts max.
Not the best if you really want to push that cpu.
Might be a really good board for a tualatin thou.

I wanna unlocked P-III 1 gig CPU too. Got lots of stuff to trade. SA6R motherboard, left testicle, etc. You name it.

well, MSI 815 EP Pro-R would be the best for u .. it has agp pro, PC2PC, ... its the fastest mobo using the i815EP chipset ever made ..

Thanks, all. I ended up ordering the Abit ST6 from PC Progress. Hopefully it will perform as well as the MSI. MSI pissed me off once, otherwise I may have considered their board.

You would not be happening to follow the thread in Intel Proc.'s would you? Any way we can get a clue as to achieve the feat of unlocking a p3 or any Intel chip. Can you hook us up with any engineering samples, I would pay a pretty penny for a unlocked gig chip.

P.S. You just became my new best friend.

Trust me, If I could get my hands on another one, I would've picked up a dual proc. board. If someone happens to not need their "loaner chip", though, I'll remember you, Dude. Oh, and I can't help you guys much with the unlocking concept, but I can say this: In my opinion, it is absurd to think that there is anything left to try that hasn't already been tried.
