I recently bought the Thermaltake Cooler 7+, which didn't work on my 478 motherboard, and decided to try it out on my KT7A Raid board. That thing rocks. At full load, the AMD 1.33 Ghz is at 40C----idle is 36C. Now, I am trying to find a good socket 478 cooler. Your suggestions.

Thanks

My Sunflower kicks ace. I think there is a site where you can pick one up for like $28. My temps went from 45*c under load to 39*c under load. I also lapped it and used AS3.

i just received my swiftech mcx 478 like 2 days ago the thing IS COLD! I havent recieved my mobo but i plugged it into the psu and the thing makes my hand hold its amazing, but yes it is VERY loud (makes my 120mm fans sound like nothing) and its a big expsensive but if noise doesnt bother you and you want the best cooling its the only way to go...

Do I need to unistall the retention clips on the motherboard to mount that sucker? It looks awesome.

I noticed you have an XP Processor. Does the Glaciator work with Socket 478? Thanks for the feedback.
